Last weekend we took a little road trip to a little college town near us. While we were there we decided to visit the local teaery. It was an interesting experience and we will definitely go back!
I couldn't help but notice the dark wood shelves which housed the many glass jars filled with tea. It was spectacular and something I want to incorporate in my own home. Each jar was labeled with their contents in cute little labels.
I stood in front of the shelves trying to decide which one to try or if I wanted to blend a few together. I waited to see which one I was drawn to. I figured it would help me decide.
After a few minutes, I decided on the Licorice Root tea by itself.
As I waited for the gentleman to steep the tea I couldn't help but notice the aroma! Whoa! It smelled so good. I anxiously waited for the first sip.
Well, after that first sip, I was hooked. It had such a sweet taste. A taste that resembled stevia, but with a little spice to it. The gentleman stated that Licorice Root is used in Chai Tea to give it its sweetness. I love Chai Tea and now I love Licorice Root Tea!
